Thesis Template file:
.zip format
Tarball
Text of the included README file:
This is a gutted version of my dissertation files. I have just removed
all the text of my dissertation keeping all the commands intact.
You
may use this as a template to generate a document that meets the thesis
office specifications. However, for best results, do not
alter or
delete the commands. There may be more efficient latex
commands that can replace some of the existing ones.
The basis of the files here are from Great Master Nelson Beebe's
webpage: http://www.math.utah.edu/pub/uuthesis/
All credit is
due to him.
I do not guarantee that using this template will result in a document
that meets the thesis office specifications, use at your own
discretion. Please read and follow the handbook for thesis and
dissertations available here:
http://web.utah.edu/graduate_school/thesishandbook.pdf
before writing your document.
Consult a good Latex book.
A note about some of the files:
abstractonly.tex: This is used for submission of the extra abstract
pages and is a hack of the thesis.tex file. Compiling this file will
result
in a document with the correct numbering of pages for the
abstract (consult the thesis submission checklist). You will need to
only print
the abstract pages, and omit out all the other pages
generated by compiling this document.
Three exemplary chapter .tex files are included and three associated
figure folders are included. I used the IEEE guidelines for
bibliography, and the .bst file is included.
newcommands.tex is used to organize whatever user-defined commands
needed.
