Friends/Support
This page acknowledges the support and generosity of individuals who have contributed to the betterment of the Institute.
Nora Eccles Harrison, Richard A. Harrison and the Nora Eccles Treadwell Foundation
The generous funding provided by these two individuals and the foundation they initiated is largely responsible for the growth and development of CVRTI into its present configuration as a highly productive cardiac research organization. Their support has had and continues to have a major positive impact on the careers of numerous faculty members and trainees at the University of Utah.
Dr. Mary Jo Burgess, MD
Dr. Burgess was one of the founders of CVRTI and served as its co-director for many years. She had a distinguished career as a cardiac electrophysiologist with numerous publications and long-standing funding from the NIH. Since her retirement, Dr. Burgess has consistently and generously supported research at CVRTI.
Dick Rasmussen
Dick Rasmussen has kindly given CVRTI two of his beautiful photographs of Utah. They dramatically illustrate the natural beauty of our state and we are exceedingly grateful for his generosity. Dick is president of Rasmussen Equipment Company in Salt Lake City and a longtime patron of the University of Utah. Many of his photos are on display at the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
